This year, Calais Campbell and his foundation, the Charles Richard Campbell (CRC) Foundation, teamed up with the Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute Foundation, Northeast Florida Regional STEM2 Hub, Microsoft, The Solution Dynamics (TSD), the Jacksonville Jaguars, Mojo Kitchen, and the Jacksonville Police Athletic League (JaxPAL)  to hold The Calais Campbell JaxPAL Football Camp. The camp was a huge success.

Over 250 children of all ages attended the football camp which was held at the JaxPAL Monument Center. Participants who attended the camp received a t-shirt and a memorable experience focused on improvement of football specific skills and academic achievement. The campers also were able to spend time with Calais Campbell and many of his fellow Jaguar teammates. It is because of Calais' service in events such as this that he is deserving of The Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.

What is The CRC Foundation

The CRC Foundation was established in honor of the late Charles Richard Campbell.

His philosophies included community activism, goal setting, celebrating achievements, and the solid belief that you can do whatever you set your mind to do. He believed in teaching life skills to young people that would allow them to overcome the adversity they face in their everyday lives, in order to become well-prepared adults.

The CRC Foundation is the direct result of his teachings, and through its mission Charles’ legacy will continue for years to come.

The CRC Foundation is committed to the enhancement of our community through the teaching of critical life skills to young people. Through sports, creative talents, vocational skills, financial skills, and quality health and nutrition, the CRC Foundation helps develop young people into empowered and self-aware leaders for the future.
