J. Turner Vosseller, MD, FAOA, FAAOS was born and raised right here in Jacksonville. After graduating from high school, Dr. Vosseller moved to tiny Lexington, VA, where he graduated from Washington and Lee University with a double major in Chemistry and Classics.
After his time at Washington and Lee, Dr. Vosseller attended Georgetown University School of Medicine, receiving his MD degree in 2004. Dr. Vosseller then returned to Jacksonville for an internship at the Mayo Clinic. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Vosseller then moved to New York City, where he completed an orthopaedic foot and ankle fellowship at the prestigious Hospital for Special Surgery.
When he finished his training, Dr. Vosseller stayed in New York City, working as an attending surgeon at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital, one of the top hospitals in the world, for nine years. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Vosseller is thrilled to return home to Jacksonville and join JOI where he will be seeing patients at the San Marco location. Additionally, he is also a one of the Team Physicians for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
