JOI Baptist South Rehab Center is located just off of I-95 on Old St. Augustine Road at the Baptist Hospital medical office building 3.
Our South Rehab center is located conveniently on the Baptist South Hospital Medical Office Building 3 on the second floor. This location offers traditional physical therapy and hand therapy with a specialized sine center and a spine therapist. This location also provides custom hand splinting and other durable medical equipment. We are now located right next to our JOI South Physician Practice for your convenience.

The JOI Rehab South location is located at the intersection of Old St Augustine Road and Philips Hwy. JOI Rehab South clinic offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Hand Therapy, Sports Rehab, Massage, Laser Therapy, Acupuncture, DME or Bracing, Graston Therapy, KT Taping and Return to Sports Services. We work closely with your JOI Physician, but we also work with any physician who prescribes one of our services. Our goal is to return you to your prior level of function with good customer service.

Heather Lopez is an occupational therapist with 20 plus years of experience treating upper extremity orthopedic injuries. Further, she obtained her hand certification in 2006. Heather works closely with the JOI surgeons to help her patients reach their functional goals. Further, she continues to enjoy working with her colleagues in a team approach atmosphere.

Allan Marlon O. Fiesta, PT, DPT, OCS

Allan Fiesta graduated with a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from the University of the City of Manila (Philippines) in 2000. He obtained his transitional doctorate degree in physical therapy with high honors from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (2017) in St. Augustine, Florida. Further, all has worked in various clinical settings which include long-term care, home health, acute care and outpatient settings.
He has been with JOI since 2013 and started working as the spine physical therapist at the JOI South Clinic – Spine Center since 2014. He is a board-certified orthopedic clinical specialist through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS). Further, he is a current member of the Orthopedic Section of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Allan Fiesta is also a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT). Further, his area of interest includes the use of manual therapy techniques in the cervical and lumbar spine. He is currently working towards obtaining his manual therapy certification through the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
Kenneth Goodin, DPT, CSCS

Kenneth Goodin has been a Licensed PT since 2017, prior to joining JOI he worked in Skilled Nursing, Acute Care, and Outpatient settings. Further, he is training to specialize in running biomechanics to provide care for the local running community. He completed his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2018 through the NSCA. Kenneth Goodin is a Jacksonville native, he graduated from Duncan Fletcher in 2001 before joining the military.

Julia Guthart is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist with over 20 years of experience treating upper extremity orthopaedic diagnoses. Further, obtained her Certification in Hand Therapy in 1992, after specializing in the field for many years. Julia has extensive experience in custom splinting and direct patient care. Further, Julia Guthart has been the Hand Therapy Coordinator for JOI Rehabilitation and is the JOI Rehab South Site Coordinator.

Tiffany Patterson, MOTR/L, CHT

For the past seven years, Tiffany Patterson has worked in an outpatient orthopaedic setting, where she concentrates on hand and upper extremity rehabilitation. In 2007, she became a Certified Hand Therapist. Further, Tiffany has been working with JOI Rehabilitation since 2006.
Joanna Starkey-Marshall, DPT, CHT

Joanna Starkey is one of the original members of JOI rehabilitation. Further, she has been a CHT for over 10 years working with all injuries of the upper extremity. She also is a performing arts specialist working with Broadway physical therapy and as a dancer herself for several years prior to becoming a therapist. Joanna Starkey enjoys expanding and improving her manual skills and recently became a fascial stretch therapist.
This is a certified stretching technique using a pain-free manual stretch to entire connective tissue paths rather than a certain muscle or joint. Further, she has taught in local and national courses for upper extremity disorders and performing artist injuries. Joanna loves the team atmosphere of working with high-level surgeons and fellow hand therapists.
Joe Stubits, PTA

Joe Stubits is a native of Fernandina Beach, FL where he grew up playing multiple sports. While in middle school, Joe sustained a significant knee injury requiring surgery and months of Physical Therapy. Once he was able to return to playing sports, Joe knew that he wanted to work in the Physical Therapy field and help others return to their hobbies and sports like he was able to.
Since becoming a licensed PTA, Joe has had clinical experience in outpatient, skilled nursing and home health settings and has had the opportunity to work with patients with sports injuries, orthopedic, neurological, cardiac and medically complex conditions. Joe has been a member of the JOI rehab team since 2016.

Before coming to Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute, Tracy Wilcox worked with teams at UAB and North Georgia College. Tracy graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Athletic Training in 2005. Further, she completed her degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Florida State College of Jacksonville in 2015. Tracy Wilcox enjoys working in outpatient orthopedics and has spent time with a variety of sports teams. Tracy has been with JOI since 2010.

Dominic Worsowicz is a graduate of the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences. Through his internships and work at JOI, he has treated patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions. Further, he enjoys the physical therapy profession and continues to keep current with the newest treatments and therapies.
Micaela Hill, Rehabilitation Technician

Micaela Hill grew up in central Florida and attended Jacksonville University on a Division I rowing scholarship. She interned with Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute in 2017 and 2018. Micaela joined the JOI team in 2018 as a Rehabilitation Technician. Micaela is currently working to complete her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Jacksonville University. She anticipates completing her degree in 2021. She enjoys spending time at the beach, running, and spending time with her deaf dog, Orchid.
Melissa Levy, DACM, AP
Melissa Levy is an Acupuncture Physician and is NCCAOM Nationally Board Certified in Oriental Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from Pacific College of Health and Science, where she received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida College of Integrative Medicine with her Masters of Oriental Medicine and Bachelors in Professional Health Science. Before her acupuncture studies, Melissa studied Exercise Science at The University of Tampa. She has further training in Injection Therapy, Sports Acupuncture, and Musculoskeletal Dysfunction. Her love and passion for living a healthy holistic life started at a young age as an athlete. She proceeded to expand her love of fitness by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), Certified Boxing Instructor, Hatha Yoga Instructor, and Certified SPINNING Instructor. She has trained a wide variety of clientele and has taught numerous group fitness classes. Dr. Levy appreciates the health benefits that acupuncture has to offer. She intends to educate all her patients on acupuncture and health prevention.
