Outpatient therapy in my home- JOI Bridge Program

By

Are you stuck at home in pain? Our therapists can now bring essential rehabilitation services directly to you in the safety of your own home with the JOI bridge program. JOI is now offering in-home outpatient physical and occupational therapy for those choosing not to leave their home at this time. If you need “hands-on” therapy, but cannot come in to one of our Rehabilitation Centers during the COVID-19 crisis, we will bring the Therapy to YOU!

The JOI Bridge Program can be a good resource for those needing outpatient physical therapy.Outpatient therapy is easier now thanks to the JOI Bridge Program.

What are the Benefits of the JOI Bridge Program: Therapy in your home?

With the JOI bridge program, patients now have the option to do physical therapy in their home with a Physical or Occupational Therapist. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT HOME HEALTH CARE. A home health certification from your physician is NOT required. Your insurance will treat this the same as an in-office session. Your therapist will simply arrive at your home and treat you as if you are in the Rehabilitation Center.

Here’s how it works:

  • If your doctor prescribes either occupational or physical therapy, contact one of our Rehabilitation Centers and request an In-Home Therapy Evaluation or the JOI bridge program.
  • If you are an existing patient, contact your closest JOI Rehab Center and request an appointment at your home.
  • The office will schedule an appointment for your therapist to come to you for a session.
  • Your insurance and copays/deductible/out of pocket cost will be the same as an in-office visit.
  • If you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, E-Visits and Telehealth services are also available.

*Please note that the geographic area we can serve is limited based on our outpatient rehab facility locations.

TelemedicineThe JOI bridge program is a good option for outpatient physical therapy.JOI patient using telemedicine.

If you would prefer to do your appointment remotely, JOI is also now offering patients telemedicine visits for both doctor and phsical therapy (occupational and physical therapy) visits. Now, patients are able to schedule Therapy and MD appointments using their phone, tablet, or computer.  Patients will talk directly with a therapist or doctor using the video conferencing app called Zoom.  If you want to schedule a telemedicine visit with a JOI MD, please Call JOI-2000.  For a telemedicine visit with your therapist, please call the JOI Rehab Clinic closest to you.

JOI is on the Front Line during the COVID-19 crisis. In an effort to increase access to our doctors, we are now offering ASAP Fracture and Injury Services. This allows patients who have urgent orthopaedic needs from an injury to be seen quickly by one of our Orthopaedic Doctors. This is an option for those who would prefer to not go to the emergency room. Please follow this link to read how JOI fracture and injury services work.

Severe trauma or obvious open fracture injuries should still go to a Hospital Emergency Department for care.
