McKenzie Exercises is a classification based system and treatment program for patients suffering from low back pain and was developed by Robin McKenzie PT in 1981. These are a specific set of exercises that use specific movements to position the lumbar spine in a correct position to alleviate nerve pressure. By performing these exercises the focus is to move the spine into its normal position which should help to allow for alleviation of pain and improved spinal mobility.
