The JOI Rehab Beaches location is one of the largest Physical and Occupation Therapy Centers in the Northeast Florida Region. It is on the Baptist Beaches Campus next to the Baptist Outpatients Surgery Center.  JOI Rehab Beaches offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Hand Therapy, Medical Massage Therapy, Sports Rehab, DME or Bracing, Laser Therapy, Graston Therapy, KT Taping and Return to Sport Services.  Learn more about Medical Massage Therapy at JOI Beaches Rehab from this Video. We work closely with your JOI Physician, but we also work with any physician who prescribes one of our services. Our goal is to return you to your prior level of function with good customer service.

John Alexander, OTR/L

Master of Occupational Therapy with Honors (University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences, 2022)

John Alexander is originally from Crystal River, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences. Afterwards, he moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 2021 and graduated with honors from the University of St. Augustine with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree in 2022. John is currently working towards obtaining his certified hand therapist license. He loves spending time outdoors, following University of Florida athletics, and serving in his church and community.  John can be found assisting patients at our JOI Rehab, Beaches office.

Tim Burkhart PT JOI REHAB

Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy (Florida International University, 1994)

Tim Burkhart’s experience includes personal training, strength and conditioning for the Orlando Magic, spinal cord/traumatic brain injury rehab, home health, and outpatient orthopaedic physical therapy. He has been with JOI since February 2005.

Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant (Concorde Career Institute, 2018)

Cameron Delicato has worked at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute since 2013 as a Rehabilitation Technician at the San Marco Rehab Office. After completing his PTA program he relocated to the JOI Rehab Beaches Office.

Meghan Dunn, PT, DPT, ATC

Doctorate of Physical Therapy (University of Florida, 2008)

Meghan Dunn has been with the Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute Rehabilitation team since 2008. She enjoys working in the outpatient orthopaedic setting and is certified in the Graston technique for soft tissue mobilization. In her free time, Meghan enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and the beach.

Virginia Halpin is originally from Martinsville, Virginia and completed her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Virginia in 2017. After moving to Jacksonville in 2019, she attended Florida State College of Jacksonville to become a Physical Therapist Assistant. She joined the JOI team in December of 2020 and is splitting her time between the Beaches and Point Meadows clinics. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing on the beach.

Victoria Hernandez, PT, DPT

Victoria completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at Jacksonville University where she also competed in Division I Rowing. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2020. Victoria has experience working with personal training clients and sports performance. She is passionate about sports and women’s health and loves going to the beach with her dogs.


Joan Mcloud JOI REHAB

Joan McLoud worked at Baptist Medical Center in the Health/Wellness/Cardiac Rehab department for nine years. After receiving a second PT degree, she enjoys working in inpatient/outpatient hospital settings.  She also likes to work in home health, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient Sports Medicine physical therapy.

She is trained in the Graston Technique, Electric Therapy Point System (ETPS), McConnell Taping, Body Balance for Performance Golf Program, and personal fitness programs. Early in her career she worked with the Aspen Colorado Hospital Physical Therapy Department.  Joan joined JOI Beaches Rehab in 2005, and is currently the Senior Physical Therapist.


Kurt Mulaney

Kurtis Mullaney PT, DPT, ATC, LAT – Front Desk Manager

Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015 from FGCU

Kurtis (Kurt) Mullaney is a native of Jacksonville who graduated from Bishop Kenny High School. He received his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Florida Gulf Coast University in 2012 while playing baseball for the Eagles. He received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2015 from FGCU. Kurt has been practicing in predominantly outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine for 5 years. Before joining the JOI Beaches Rehab team, he spent 3.5 years at our San Marco office and 1.5 years as a traveling physical therapist in several private practice physical therapy clinics throughout Arizona and California. He enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and being on the water. He is passionate about health and fitness and is a huge Jacksonville Jaguars fan.

Jennifer Neuenfeldt was born and raised in the Jacksonville beaches area. While studying there she spent many hours volunteering in a hand clinic where she found her passion. Jen has now been with JOI for over a year with a focus in upper extremity treatment. Jen looks forward to many years with the organization. She currently works at the JOI Rehab Beaches Clinic.

Andrew Orpiano earned an Athletic Training degree from the University of North Florida in 2012. While at UNF, Andrew worked with Bishop Kenny High School, Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Bartram Trail High School, and UNF Track & Field. Further, after graduating from UNF, Andrew worked as an Athletic Trainer with the Providence School of Jacksonville football team. In November 2012, Andrew joined JOI and is currently the Head Athletic Trainer for The Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

Andrew is the Site Coordinator and Clinical Athletic Trainer at the JOI Rehab Beaches Clinic.

Nicholas Baker, LMT, is practicing as a Medical Massage Therapist and Neuro-Muscular Therapist at JOI Rehab.  He specializes in manual therapy, neuromuscular therapy, Graston, cupping, Pre and Post Natal Care, Post- Surgical Edema management, and all other soft tissue injuries.  As a Jacksonville Native, Nicholas graduated from First Coast High School.  He then from Alpha School of Massage in Jacksonville. He has also furthered his education with courses from The Advance Bodyworks Academy.

Since then, he has been able to treat thousands of patients with acute and chronic pain, headaches, migraines, and other stress related issues. Previously, Nicholas has worked as a Clinical Director, Lymphatic Wound Care provider, and Neuromuscular Therapist for another outpatient rehabilitation facility. Nicholas is very passionate, caring, and committed to providing all patients with the highest quality of patient care.  In his free time, he enjoys making weekend trips to Disney, hanging out with friends, cooking, and spending quality time with his boyfriend.

Clinton Barton, DME Coordinator

Clinton Barton was born and raised in rural East Texas. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served for over 20 years as a Hospital Corpsman. He plans to finish his degree in Health Sciences with a goal to become a Physician Assistant. Clint joined the JOI Rehab Beaches office as their DME specialist in September of 2022.

Ashley Bruns, Front Desk Specialist

Ashley grew up in the Jacksonville area and loves that she gets to work near the beach area. Aside from her job at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute, she also teaches children’s dance at a local Jacksonville Dance studio. Ashley enjoys spending time with her son and loves to go on new outdoor adventures. She loves her job at JOI Beaches and enjoys meeting new people on a daily basis.

Bronwyn Finch, Front Desk Specialist

Bronwyn Finch is a Jacksonville native. She graduated from Sandalwood High School and then pursued her passion as a hairstylist for 30+ years.  This taught her the importance of making people feel beautiful inside and out. She is an extremely proud mom to her son Chris, who is in the USAF, and her beautiful daughter, Emily, who is pursuing her education in ministry and worship. Bronwyn loves spending time with her dog, Gunner, watching football, and hanging out with her friends. She is super excited to start this chapter at JOI Beaches Rehab where she hopes to make a difference by supporting JOI’s wonderful staff and patients.

Belinda Grace, Front Desk Specialist

Belinda Grace was born and raised in Jacksonville Florida.  She has lived here her whole life, apart from 3 years in the Philippines and 3 years in San Diego, CA.  She graduated from Sandalwood High School in 1992.  Belinda has worked in breakfast restaurants for 15+ years, so customer service is important to her!  She and her husband have 3 children and a dog, and they love going to the beach and exploring new places.  Belinda loves being creative, and her hobbies include making custom cups, picture frames, and trophies.  She also owns a BMX racing and training facility with her husband called Jacksonville BMX.  Her husband announces at the races and they travel all over for state and national competitions.  They have lived in the beaches area for the last 20 years, and you can find her assisting patients at our Beaches Rehab location.

Kjersti Olsen, Front Desk Specialist

Kjersti Olsen was born and raised in Western Kansas. After earning her Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas, she fulfilled her lifelong dream of moving to Florida to be close to the water and sunshine, while working with disadvantaged youth. Kjersti enjoys traveling, having lived in Greece for a time, and enjoys traveling internationally and domestically as much as possible. Her hobbies include dancing, singing, gardening, and cooking. She also enjoys watching the Seattle Seahawks and Kansas City Royals. Kjersti is enjoying working at JOI Rehab while searching for the next adventure.  She is currently assisting patients at the JOI Rehab Beaches office.
