JOI San Marco Rehab Center
The JOI Rehab San Marco location is the largest Physical and Occupation Therapy Center in the Northeast Florida Region. This recently renovated clinic is on the Baptist Downtown Campus in the Reid Medical Building. JOI Rehab San Marco offers Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Hand Therapy, Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, Sports Rehab, DME or Bracing, Laser Therapy, Graston Therapy, whirlpools for wound debridement of hands, KT Taping and Return to Sports Services at our new Sports Center. Renan Abagat, DPT

Renan Abagat has been practicing Physical Therapy since 1991. He has worked in all therapy settings but the bulk of his experience is in outpatient orthopaedics. His special interests include neuromuscular reeducation as an adjunct to manual medicine. Renan works at the JOI Rehab San Marco Physical Therapy Clinic.

Emily is originally from Annapolis, MD. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Jacksonville University in 2018. While at JU, she was a member of the Women’s lacrosse team. After undergrad, she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2021. In her free time, she enjoys the warm weather and likes to spend time at the beach.

Aren Biala, PTA

Aren Biala, PTA, is a Jacksonville, FL native who graduated from Bishop John J. Snyder High School in 2014. He completed his B.S. in Sport and Exercise Science at the University of Central Florida in 2018. He became licensed as a PTA in the fall of 2021 after attending the program at Florida State College at Jacksonville. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and staying active by playing soccer. He is a passionate soccer fan and supports Arsenal FC (*warning: he will talk your head off if soccer makes it into conversation!) Also, he loves visiting local craft breweries. You can find him treating patients at the JOI Rehab San Marco location.

Daniel Brady, PT, DPT
Daniel Brady is a New Jersey native. He graduated from Rider University in 2013 where he was a member of the Swimming and Diving team. Daniel graduated with a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Neuroscience. He went on to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Florida and graduated in 2017.
Daniel fulfilled multiple internships while at the University of Florida, including an outpatient sports rotation at the Texas Metroplex Institute where he had the opportunity to work with athletes of all age ranges and gained a strong interest for outpatient orthopedics. He is excited to be part of the JOI team. Dan currently is the Front Desk Manager and a physical therapist at the JOI Rehab San Marco Clinic.

Luke Bratton ATC
Athletic Trainer
Luke Bratton is a graduate from the University of North Florida with a major in Athletic Training. Further, his clinical experience includes Division-I athletics with the UNF softball and soccer team. He was also part of the Sports Medicine staff for Jacksonville University Football. Further, he is currently the Athletic Trainer for Fernandina Beach High School Athletics, providing sports medicine coverage for practices and games.
Luke focuses his treatment based on a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to build strength, stability and improve ROM. He enjoys playing beach volleyball, kayaking, swimming, and playing guitar. Luke is now the ATC for Bishop Kenny High School.

Jessica Bruno, OT, CHT
Jessica Bruno is originally from New Jersey and moved to Florida for graduate school. She decided to go back to school after being exposed to occupational therapy. Further, she fell in love with her career.
During her internships, she gained experience in many settings including inpatient rehab, schools, pediatrics, and outpatient orthopedics. Further, she thoroughly enjoyed working in the outpatient setting. She decided to pursue her career in this setting. Jessica currently works at the JOI Rehab San Marco and Riverside locations.

Chang Chau, OT

Chang Chau is a Jacksonville native who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of St. Augustine in 2015 with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree. During his clinical internships, he treated both traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury patients at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital. Further, he placed special emphasis on upper extremity orthopedics at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center.
Further, Chang Chau graduated from the University of North Florida with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist. He is currently working towards obtaining his Certification in Hand Therapy. Go Jags!

Prior to graduating from Occupational Therapy school, Lily Condy worked as an Exceptional Student Educator in St. Johns County, FL. She has worked in a variety of settings, including subacute care, skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedics, and home health. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. After starting at JOI Rehab, Lily became a certified hand therapist and is now the Lead OT at JOI Rehab San Marco Location

Jennifer Dieter, PT

Jennifer Dieter, PT has been a licensed physical therapist since 1999. Jen has achieved success in the treatment of Cervical and Lumbar Spine, surgical and non-surgical orthopedic injuries, and sports medicine. She also specializes in Back Pain during Pregnancy and Women’s Health patients. She utilizes her manual therapy skills and functional treatment philosophies for improved outcomes.
Jen has worked with athletes including high-level professional, Crossfit athletes, runners, high school athletes, the “Roar” Cheerleaders, professional dancers. Another achievement has been a Strength and Conditioning Program for adolescents. She also developed and hosted a continuing education course for exercise during pregnancy. Jen is an instructor for continuing education courses in the areas of movement dysfunction, kinesiology taping, IASTM, cupping, mobilization, and flossbands.

Patrick Driscoll ATC – Site Coordinator
Patrick Driscoll, Certified Athletic Trainer
Patrick Driscoll received his Bachelors in Athletic Training at Salisbury University, 2016. He went on to obtain his Masters in Athletic Leadership at Clemson University, 2019.
Work Experience
Patrick completed internships with The Baltimore Ravens, Atlanta Braves, and the New Orleans Saints. Prior to him coming to JOI Rehab, he was the first assistant athletic trainer with the football program at Georgia Tech.
He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, Devin as well as his dog Sonny.
Sport and Spine Center
Pat joins the JOI Team as the Site Coordinator for the Sport and Spine Center. This center is located within the JOI San Marco Rehab Center.

Michelle Duclos MA ATC LAT CES
Sports Medicine Director
Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Sciences with a specialty in Athletic Training (University of Florida, 2005)
Master’s Degree in Physical Education with a specialty in Exercise Science (University of South Florida, 2008)
Michelle Duclos gained valuable experience at UF by working with the volleyball and football teams. Further, she later interned at the University of South Florida. She also worked with the football team, which was invited to the Meineke Car Care Bowl, the first bowl game in USF history.
While at USF, she worked mainly with the Women’s volleyball team, and helped to cover the NCAA Women’s Final Four in 2008. She also helped cover the NCAA Men’s First and Second Rounds hosted in Tampa. Further, Michelle Duclos helped host the Big East Tennis and Baseball Tournaments in 2008. She came to JOI in 2008. She is presently the athletic trainer for events and practices at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Michelle also serves as the Sports Medicine Director.

Taylor Ged, OTD, OTR/L

Taylor was born and raised in Jacksonville and graduated from Bolles High School. She grew up a Gator fan and eventually attended the University of Florida where she received her B.S. in Health Education. She then went on to attend Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, FL where she earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She has outpatient experience working with a variety of orthopedic conditions, as well as neurological conditions. She is now working towards getting her certification in hand therapy.
Taylor currently works at the JOI Rehab San Marco clinic.

Kenneth Goodin, DPT, CSCS
Kenny has been a Licensed DPT since 2017, prior to joining JOI he worked in Skilled Nursing, Acute Care, and Outpatient settings. Further, he is training to specialize in running biomechanics to provide care for the local running community. He completed his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2018 through the NSCA. Kenneth Goodin is a Jacksonville native, he graduated from Duncan Fletcher in 2001 before joining the military.

Drew joined the rehabilitation team in 2004. In 2009, he became the Site Coordinator of JOI’s largest rehabilitation facility, San Marco. He served as a clinical liaison between JOI Rehab sites and JOI physicians. With the goal to sustain consistent and exceptional patient care and to ensure that current staff is given educational opportunities to develop and enhance clinical skills. He currently serves in a managerial capacity as Assistant Administrator for JOI Rehabilitation.
Drew completed athletic training internships with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and the USAT National Triathlon Training Center. He has attended numerous clinical training and education events around the country. He has been an adjunct professor with the University of North Florida Athletic Training Program. Drew also serves on the advisory boards for local physical therapy and physical therapy assistant programs. He was part of the clinical research for the United States Tennis Association. Working with their wheelchair and adaptive sports division. In his clinical time, Drew enjoys working with elite and amateur athletes of all types. Finally, he has a special interest in endurance sports, including running, cycling, Crossfit and multisport.

Ken Kaczka, PT, DPT

Ken Kaczka is a licensed doctor of physical therapy in the state of Florida. He is also a member of the (APTA) American Physical Therapy Association. He has diverse clinical experience evaluating and treating patients in a variety of settings. His experience includes Outpatient Orthopedic, Sports Medicine, and Sub-acute Inpatient Rehabilitation for spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, and other neurological diagnoses. He has taken advanced course work and developed specialty skills in manual therapy. He is currently practicing at the San Marco and World Golf Village rehab locations.

Sarah Katsaras, MPT, OCS

Sarah Katsaras graduated from FSU with Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 1994. Earned Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in 1999. Sarah continues to work as a physical therapist for several years She opened the JOI Spine Center in 2011 and has been coordinating the Spine Club meetings for 6 years. She also earned her OCS certification in 2011. Sarah currently works at the JOI Rehab San Marco Physical Therapy Clinic.

Zak Katzer, PTA

Zak Katzer, PTA, joined the team at JOI in 2021. He attended Santa Fe College and the University of Central Florida where he studied nursing. However, Zak soon realized his passion mainly focused on orthopedic rehabilitation. He then enrolled in the PTA program at Florida State College in Jacksonville where he got his degree. Outside of work, Zak enjoys going to the beach, watching sports, and playing wheelchair basketball for Brooks Rehabilitation. He is planning on going back to school to pursue his bachelor degree in Exercise Science. You can find Zak Katzer, PTA, at JOI’s San Marco Rehab location.

Tristyn Kinser, MS, ATC, LAT

Tristyn joined the JOI Rehab staff in August 2019. She serves as the outreach Athletic Trainer at Paxon School for Advance studies as well as Assistant Athletic Trainer to the ROAR of the Jaguars. Kinser comes to JOI from High Point University in North Carolina where she worked as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for men’s & women’s cross country and track & field programs from August 2018 to May 2019.
The Jacksonville native graduated from The University of North Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She continued her educational career at Jacksonville University, earning a Master’s in Kinesiological Sciences in April 2018. During this time she served as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Dolphins’ football program for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

Matt has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1997, and especially enjoys working with post-operative knees and shoulders. He was the Sports Medicine Director (2002-08) at the JOI Rehab San Marco office.
Matt was also Head Athletic Trainer for Bishop Kenny High School from 1999 to 2005. He specializes in throwing and running biomechanics, foot orthotics fabrication, biomechanical analysis (throwing, running), and soft tissue mobilization using the Graston Technique (Level II trained). Currently, Matt is the Site Coordinator of JOI Rehabilitation – San Marco office.

Ben graduated from Canisius College in 2015 with his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. He then completed his Masters degree from Syracuse University in 2017 after a two year stint as a graduate assistant with the Orange Football, Tennis, and Field Hockey teams. Ben comes to JOI after completing the 2022 Olympic cycle as the Head Athletic Trainer with the U.S. Ski and Snowboards Slopestyle and Big Air teams. You can currently find Ben at our JOI Rehab, San Marco location. He is also working as JOI’s Head Athletic Trainer for the Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

Debbie Rockett has worked in several fields of Physiotherapy, and has specialized in orthopaedic outpatient therapy services. Further, he received her post-graduate certification in Mobilization of the Spine and Extremities in 1992. Recently, Debbie became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. Further, Debbie has been with JOI since 1995. Debbie currently works at the JOI Rehab San Marco Physical Therapy Clinic.

Samantha Seifert, MS ATC CES

Samantha Seifert graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2016 with her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. In the Fall of 2017, she continued her education by working on her Master’s degree in Advanced Athletic Training at the University of South Florida and obtained it in 2019. Furthermore, Samantha worked for two years as an intern at Warner University. Also, she was primarily responsible for men’s soccer and baseball. Samantha joined JOI in July of 2018 and is serving as the DME Coordinator.

Miranda Snook, PTA
Miranda Snook was born and raised in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania and moved to Florida in 2018. She has a history of playing sports, competing in the NPC bodybuilding bikini division, and the spartan trifecta. Miranda worked as a personal trainer/fitness coach for 7 years before becoming a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant and joining the JOI team. When she is not working, Miranda enjoys going to the beach, playing with her dogs, and spending time with family. She is passionate about fitness and personal health and looks forward to assisting her patients in maximizing their potential.
Miranda currently works at the JOI Rehab San Marco and Mandarin clinics.

Pamela J Wilson OTR/L, CHT
BSOT Utica College of Syracuse University.
Pamela Wilson came to JOI following many years of practice In the Boston and Dallas areas. She has extensive experience in traumatic, work and sports-related injuries of the upper extremity. A Certified Hand Therapist since 1991 she has been with JOI since 2008. Pam Wilson is our OT/CHT who performs float coverage at our locations.

Nicholas Baker, LMT, is practicing as a Medical Massage Therapist and Neuro-Muscular Therapist at JOI Rehab. He specializes in manual therapy, neuromuscular therapy, Graston, cupping, Pre and Post Natal Care, Post- Surgical Edema management, and all other soft tissue injuries. As a Jacksonville Native, Nicholas graduated from First Coast High School. He then from Alpha School of Massage in Jacksonville. He has also furthered his education with courses from The Advance Bodyworks Academy.
Since then, he has been able to treat thousands of patients with acute and chronic pain, headaches, migraines, and other stress related issues. Previously, Nicholas has worked as a Clinical Director, Lymphatic Wound Care provider, and Neuromuscular Therapist for another outpatient rehabilitation facility. Nicholas is very passionate, caring, and committed to providing all patients with the highest quality of patient care. In his free time, he enjoys making weekend trips to Disney, hanging out with friends, cooking, and spending quality time with his boyfriend.

Chayenne Febus, LMT

Chayenne Febus, LMT was born in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Chayenne has been involved with sports in some way his entire life. He played baseball from ages 9 until his freshman year of college. After hurting his knee, he experienced massage for the first time. This experience is what drove him to be an aspiring Licensed Massage Therapist. Chayenne Febus began massage school in 2008 at Florida College of Natural Health. He completed his studies, graduated and became licensed in 2010. Chayenne’s focus has been medical massage to treat others the way he was treated when he was hurt. He moved to Jacksonville, FL to pursue medical massage in the sports field and has been with JOI Rehab at our JOI Rehab San Marco location since February 2022.

Brooke Arrendale, Marketing Liaison
Brooke has had many different roles at JOI since starting in 2006. She started out working Front Desk and Intake at the Beaches Rehab location. She then moved to South Rehab to be the Site Coordinator. Her last position as a floating Intake Trainer allowed her to interact with staff and patients at all the rehab clinics. However, she is excited to begin her newest endeavor as Marketing Liaison for JOI and JOI Rehab! Her history and knowledge of the company will be beneficial in creating and maintaining JOI’s many partnerships around Jacksonville.
Brooke hails from Georgia and loves college football, travelling, and doing anything artistic. But her pride and joy is her ridiculously handsome dog, Goose.

Jayla Graham, Front Desk Specialist
Jayla Graham was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL. She has always had a strong interest in the medical field, and she is currently attending FSCJ where she is finishing up her AA in General Studies. After that, she plans on getting her Associate Degree in Science, specializing in Radiography. In her free time, Jayla enjoys spending time with her son and family, going to theme parks, and traveling.

Leslie May has worked for JOI Rehab San Marco clinic since 2007. She currently is an intake coordinator and receptionist at the front desk.

Zachary Raymer, Front Desk Specialist
Zachary Raymer is originally from Jacksonville, FL. His interest in the medical field led him to begin working for JOI in 2021. His time here has even encouraged him to consider going back to school to become a PTA some day! Zach has 3 dogs and a love of the outdoors; hiking and camping are at the top of the list! You can currently find him giving top-notch customer service to all our patients at the JOI Rehab, San Marco location!

Rachael Rose, Marketing Liaison
Rachael Rose graduated from FGCU where she was the Social Chair of her sorority. That love of community eventually lead her to a fulfilling career in marketing. Since 2012 she has been working alongside local leaders and healthcare organizations to create and strengthen relationships within the community. She is joining the JOI family now to help grow new partnerships and breathe new life into existing ones. She is active in many charities outside of work as well, including JDRF and Mission House of Jacksonville Beach.

Brittany Smith, Intake Specialist
Brittany recently joined the JOI team in 2020. She has been involved in sports since she was 3 years old. She now devotes her time to her wonderful little family and is trying to save all the dogs she can in her community.
