Dr. Patrick Brooks is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in complex hip and knee replacement. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, where he served as chief resident and received awards for his research contributions. He has completed advanced fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at the University of Arkansas under the mentorship of nationally recognized leaders in joint replacement.
Dr. Brooks has authored several peer-reviewed research articles including being lead author for projects on Direct Anterior hip replacement. He helped to author a chapter for the prestigious Insall and Scott Surgeries of the Knee textbook. He also currently reviews articles for acceptance to Arthroplasty Today journal. Dr. Brooks has presented his research at national orthopaedic conferences, focusing on topics such as joint replacement techniques, infection management, and innovative surgical approaches.
Beyond the operating room, Dr. Brooks has served as a team physician for high school and collegiate athletes, as well as the Orlando Ballet. He is passionate about providing comprehensive care that helps patients return to an active lifestyle.
Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Brooks earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he graduated with honors, and his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys golf, running, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.
