Louis Corpora III, PT, DPT

Louis has worked with a variety of patients of all ages and backgrounds. He has experience in multiple settings and loves to treat orthopedic cases. Being a New Orleans native, Louis enjoys watching LSU and Saints football. Besides physical therapy, Louis’s passion is getting outside and hiking in the high mountains of Colorado. He has summited more than 50 peaks over 14,000 feet.
Brandy started with JOI in 2019.
Emily started with JOI Rehab in 2019 and serves as the Referral Coordinator for JOI Rehab.
Rebecca started with JOI Rehab in 2019 and works as the DME Intake Coordinator
Hannah started with JOI Rehab in 2019 and helps patients at the front desk.
Kori earned her Athletic Training degree from Ohio’s Ashland University in 2016. After graduating AU, she moved to Annapolis, Maryland where she served as an Intern Athletic Trainer for the United States Naval Academy Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey and Golf programs. While in Maryland, Kori also worked with several EMS and Life Flight departments gaining a new perspective to first responding. Kori’s additional Athletic Training experience includes serving Marshall University’s Army ROTC Program and local high schools in her hometown. Kori joined the JOI team in 2019 and is currently the Athletic Trainer at Florida State College at Jacksonville for Baseball and Softball and The Episcopal School of Jacksonville providing coverage for Tennis.
Renan Abagat, PT

Renan has been practicing Physical Therapy since 1991. He has worked in all therapy settings but the bulk of his experience is in outpatient orthopaedics. His special interests include neuromuscular reeducation as an adjunct to manual medicine.
Ehren Allen, PT, COMT
Ehren Allen is a Senior Physical therapist and Content Writer at the Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute Rehabilitation – San Marco Division. He has been with JOI for 15 years. Ehren studied Physical Therapy at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and is currently completing a Post-Professional Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the College of Saint Scholastica. Ehren specializes in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports issues with an emphasis in spine rehabilitation. He is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist and integrates manual therapy into the treatment of joint and tissue injuries. Ehren also specializes in post-concussion rehabilitation and related vestibular rehabilitation and has over 19 years of experience as a physical therapist.
Mikel Betancourt, Intake Coordinator
Mikel has been with JOI since 2017 starting off at the beaches front desk while also attending FSCJ. I am an aspiring PTA so I’ve moved over to the Tech position at San Marco to expand my knowledge in the field I am currently working towards.
Daniel Brady, PT, DPT

Daniel is a New Jersey native who graduated from Rider University (2013) with a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Neuroscience, where he was a member of the Swimming and Diving team. He went on to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Florida and graduated in 2017. Daniel fulfilled multiple internships while at the University of Florida, including an outpatient sports rotation at the Texas Metroplex Institute where he had the opportunity to work with athletes of all age ranges and gained a strong interest for outpatient orthopedics. He is excited to be part of the JOI team.
Luke Bratton ATC
Luke is a graduate from University of North Florida with a major in Athletic Training. His clinical experience includes Division-I athletics with the UNF softball and soccer team. He was also part of the Sports Medicine staff for Jacksonville University Football. He is currently the Athletic Trainer for Fernandina Beach High School Athletics, providing sports medicine coverage for practices and games. Luke focuses his treatment based on a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to build strength, stability and improve ROM. Luke enjoys playing beach volleyball, kayaking, swimming, and playing guitar. Luke is now the ATC for Bishop Kenny High School.
Samantha Brown, ATC, LAT

Samantha graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2016 with her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. In the Fall of 2017, she continued her education by working on her Master’s degree in Advanced Athletic Training at the University of South Florida. Samantha worked for two years as an intern at Warner University in central Florida where she was primarily responsible for men’s soccer and baseball. Samantha joined JOI in July of 2018 and is serving as the DME Coordinator.

Jessica is originally from New Jersey and moved to Florida for graduate school. She decided to go back to school after being exposed to occupational therapy, and falling in love with the career. During her internships she gained experience in many settings including inpatient rehab, schools, pediatrics, and outpatient orthopedics. She thoroughly enjoyed working in the outpatient setting and decided to pursue her career in this setting. She is excited to begin her career at JOI.
Bridget Carey, PTA

Bridget has been a practicing physical therapist assistant here at JOI since November 2017. She was born and raised here in Jacksonville where she attended Duncan U. Fletcher High School. She then went onto West Virginia University where she walked onto the Varsity Volleyball team and competed in the Big East as a Libero/ Defensive Specialist. She then went on to transfer to the University of Central Florida where she completed her Bachelors in Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She found her love for the field of Physical Therapy during her last semester at UCF while working with patients in the Aphasia House where she was given the opportunity to be apart of the rehabilitation of patients that were affected by TBI, stroke, and other neurological deficits. She then attended the PTA program at FSCJ and graduated in August of 2017. In her free time she enjoys playing beach volleyball, riding her beach cruiser, and playing with her two dachshunds.
Shelby has been with JOI since June 2018. She is a native of Florida and moved from Sarasota to Jacksonville in 2014.
Chang Chau, OT

Chang is a Jacksonville native who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of St. Augustine in 2015 with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree. During his clinical internships he treated both traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury patients at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital and placed special emphasis on upper extremity orthopedics at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center. Prior to becoming an Occupational Therapist, Chang graduated from the University of North Florida with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. He is currently working towards obtaining his Certification in Hand Therapy. Go Jags!
Lily Condy, MOTR/L, CLT

Prior to graduating from Occupational Therapy school, Lily worked as an Exceptional Student Educator in St. Johns County, FL. She has worked in a variety of settings, including subacute care, skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedics, and home health. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist.
Michelle Duclos, MA, ATC, LAT, CES

Master’s Degree in Physical Education with a specialty in Exercise Science (University of South Florida, 2008)
Michelle gained valuable experience at UF by working with the volleyball and football teams. She later interned at the University of South Florida and worked with the football team, which was invited to the Meineke Car Care Bowl, the first bowl game in USF history. While at USF, she worked mainly with the Women’s volleyball team, and helped to cover the NCAA Women’s Final Four in 2008 and the NCAA Men’s First and Second Rounds hosted in Tampa. She also helped host the Big East Tennis and Baseball Tournaments in 2008. She came to JOI in 2008, and is presently the athletic trainer for events and practices at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Michelle also serves as Sports Medicine Director.

Thomas has been a certified athletic trainer since September of 2010. He has experience working with a multitude of sports with a vast range of age groups. Originally a Massachusetts native he has traveled to London to work with cheerleaders and dancers. He has worked with professional athletes doing a summer internship with the St. Louis Rams, working with the Bridgeport Bluefish (Independent Professional Baseball team), and worked the Boston Marathon for years. He comes to us after working with three Division I universities (Brown, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and most recently Florida A&M University). Thomas joined JOI in August of 2018 and serves as the Head Athletic Trainer at The Bolles School.
Andrew “Drew” Heideman, MPT, ATC, PES

Drew has been with JOI Rehabilitation staff more than six years. He joined the rehabilitation team in 2004, and in 2009 became Site Coordinator of JOI’s largest rehabilitation facility, San Marco. Prior to working with JOI, he completed athletic training internships with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and the USAT National Triathlon Training Center. He has also served as Athletic Trainer for the Jacksonville Barracudas hockey team. As an athletic trainer and avid triathlete, he enjoys working with elite and amateur athletes who have a special interest in endurance sports, including running, cycling and multisport.
He serves as a clinical liaison between JOI Rehab sites and JOI physicians to sustain consistent and exceptional patient care and to ensure that current staff is given educational opportunities to develop and enhance clinical skills.
Thalia Honea, OTR/L

Thalia is a local from Orange Park, Florida and graduated from the University of Florida in 2014 with a B.S. in Health Education. During her undergraduate coursework, she was a therapeutic riding instructor for a non-profit that provided equine-assisted occupational therapy for children with disabilities in Archer, FL. She continued her education at the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences, where she graduated with her Master of Occupational Therapy degree with honors. During her schooling, Thalia was placed at JOI for one of her internship rotations, where she found her passion for upper extremity orthopedic rehabilitation. She is currently working toward obtaining her Certification in Hand Therapy. Thalia enjoys spending time spoiling her rescue dog and chickens.
Sarah Katsaras, MPT, OCS
Graduated from FSU with Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 1994. Earned Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in 1999. Has been with JOI for 11 years, opened the JOI Spine Center in 2011 and has been coordinating the Spine Club meetings for 6 years. She also earned her OCS certification in 2011.
Tristyn Kinser, MS, ATC, LAT
Tristyn Kinser joined the JOI staff in August 2019. She serves as the outreach Athletic Trainer at Paxon School for Advance studies as well as Assistant Athletic Trainer to the ROAR of the Jaguars. Kinser comes to JOI from High Point University in North Carolina where she worked as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for men’s & women’s cross country and track & field programs from August 2018 to May 2019. The Jacksonville native graduated from The University of North Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She continued her educational career at Jacksonville University, earning a Master’s in Kinesiological Sciences in April 2018. During this time she served as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Dolphins’ football program for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

Andrew earned an Athletic Training degree from the University of North Florida in 2012. While at UNF, Andrew worked with Bishop Kenny High School, Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Bartram Trail High School, and UNF Track & Field. After graduating from UNF, Andrew worked as an Athletic Trainer with the Providence School of Jacksonville football team. In November 2012, Andrew joined JOI and is currently the Head Athletic Trainer for The Episcopal School of Jacksonville providing athletic training services to student-athletes.

Debbie has worked in several fields of Physiotherapy, and has specialized in orthopaedic outpatient therapy services. She received her post-graduate certification in Mobilization of the Spine and Extremities in 1992. Recently, Debbie became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. Debbie has been with JOI since 1995.
Pamela J Wilson OTR/L, CHT

Pam came to JOI following many years of practice In the Boston and Dallas areas. She has extensive experience in traumatic, work and sports related injuries of the upper extremity. A Certified Hand Therapist since 1991 she has been with JOI since 2008.
Melissa Levy, AP
Melissa Levy is an Acupuncture Physician and is NCCAOM Nationally Board Certified in Oriental Medicine. She will complete her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Health and Science in March 2020. The Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine focuses on acupuncture research and integrating acupuncture into biomedical settings. Melissa has a Masters in Oriental Medicine from Florida College of Integrative Medicine, and her Bachelors in Professional Health Science from Florida College of Integrative Medicine. She has additional training in Injection Therapy and Musculoskeletal Dysfunction.
Melissa’s love and passion for living a healthy holistic life started at a young age as an athlete. She proceeded to expand her love of fitness by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine) and is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), Certified Boxing Instructor, Hatha Yoga Instructor, and Certified SPINNING Instructor. Melissa has trained a wide variety of clientele and has taught numerous group fitness classes.
Melissa values the benefits that acupuncture has to offer. She plans to educate all her patients on acupuncture and health prevention.
Renee Haire, LMT
Renee has always had a passion for massage, so it seemed only natural that she makes it into a career. Graduating from Southeastern School for Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in 2004, she received her certification in Neuromuscular Therapy. She has since also received training in Sports Massage, Cupping Therapy, and Medical Massage.
Since starting her career in 2005, Renee has worked for various companies including the very first Massage Envy in Jacksonville, FL. During this time, she was able to work on hundreds of clients, gaining the much-needed practice and confidence all therapists require before finding herself at JOI.
Justin Oglesby, MHA, ATC – Marketing Liason

Justin is a Jacksonville, FL native who attended First Coast High School. Through high school and college he competed in semiprofessional bull riding. He first came to JOI during his rodeo career and now serves as the marketing liaison. While pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training at the University of North Florida, he interned with the Jacksonville University’s football team, University of North Florida Men’s Soccer team, and Bishop Kenny High School. After graduating from the University of North Florida, Justin went on to advance his educational career at the University of Cincinnati where he graduated with Masters of Health Care Administration. At JOI, Justin is heavily involved in promoting JOI via many avenues.
Dawn Wojdat, Internal Auditor
Dawn has worked in the Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation setting for 12 years. She has been with Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute for the past 6 years. As the Internal Auditor Dawn assists with reporting, monitoring and helping with the overall functioning of all Rehab locations.
Christoph Zuther, Marketing Liaison

Christoph graduated from the University of North Florida with a Bachelors in Health Administration. He accepted the role as a marketing liaison for JOI in July 2016. He and Justin are Marketing Liaisons as well as content writers and editors.
