JOI San Marco Rehab Center is located near downtown Jacksonville off of San Marco Blvd. The office is located in the Reid Building.
The JOI Rehab San Marco location is the largest Physical and Occupation Therapy Center in the Northeast Florida Region. This recently renovated clinic is on the Baptist Downtown Campus in the Reid Medical Building. Alejandro Navarro, PT Tech
Alejandro Navarro has been a PT Tech at the San Marco location since August of 2020. He is currently attending UNF and is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Exercise Science. His goal is to continue to expand his knowledge in the field and eventually become a Physical Therapist.

Taylor was born and raised in Jacksonville and graduated from Bolles High School. She grew up a Gator fan and eventually attended the University of Florida where she received her B.S. in Health Education. She then went on to attend Nova Southeastern University in Tampa, FL where she earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She has outpatient experience working with a variety of orthopedic conditions, as well as neurological conditions. She is now working towards getting her certification in hand therapy.
Rachel Keene, ATC

Rachel Keene is a Jacksonville native who joined the JOI team in December 2019. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of North Florida in 2016. While at UNF, Rachel worked with the UNF men’s soccer team, JU’s beach volleyball, Clay high school, and Bartram Trail High School. Rachel currently serves as the outreach Athletic Trainer at Atlantic Coast High School.

Kori Price earned her Athletic Training degree from Ohio’s Ashland University in 2016. After graduating AU, she moved to Annapolis, Maryland. Further, she served as an Intern AT for the US Naval Academy Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey and Golf programs.
While in Maryland, Kori also worked with several EMS and Life Flight departments gaining a new perspective to first responding. Kori’s additional Athletic Training experience includes serving Marshall University’s Army ROTC Program and local high schools in her hometown. Kori joined the JOI team in 2019 and is currently the Athletic Trainer at FSCJ for Baseball and Softball. Further, she joined The Episcopal School of Jacksonville providing coverage for Tennis.
Louis Corpora III, PT, DPT

Louis has worked with a variety of patients of all ages and backgrounds. He has experience in multiple settings and loves to treat orthopedic cases. Being a New Orleans native, Louis enjoys watching LSU and Saints football. Besides physical therapy, Louis’s passion is getting outside and hiking in the high mountains of Colorado. He has summited more than 50 peaks over 14,000 feet.
Renan Abagat, DPT

Renan Abagat has been practicing Physical Therapy since 1991. He has worked in all therapy settings but the bulk of his experience is in outpatient orthopaedics. His special interests include neuromuscular reeducation as an adjunct to manual medicine.
Ehren Allen, DPT, COMT
Ehren Allen is a Senior Physical therapist and Content Writer at the Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute Rehabilitation – San Marco Division. He has been with JOI since 2005. Ehren studied Physical Therapy at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Further, he completed a Post-Professional Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the College of Saint Scholastica.
Ehren Allen specializes in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic and sports issues with an emphasis on spinal rehabilitation. He is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist and integrates manual therapy into the treatment of joint and tissue injuries. Further, he specializes in post-concussion rehabilitation. He also specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and has over 20 years of experience as a physical therapist.
Mikel Betancourt, Physical Therapy Tech
Mikel Betancourt has been with JOI since 2017 starting off at the beaches front desk while also attending FSCJ. I am an aspiring PTA so I’ve moved over to the Tech position at San Marco to expand my knowledge in the field I am currently working towards.
Daniel Brady, PT, DPT

Daniel Brady is a New Jersey native. He graduated from Rider University in 2013 where he was a member of the Swimming and Diving team. Daniel graduated with a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Neuroscience. He went on to pursue his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Florida and graduated in 2017. Daniel fulfilled multiple internships while at the University of Florida, including an outpatient sports rotation at the Texas Metroplex Institute where he had the opportunity to work with athletes of all age ranges and gained a strong interest for outpatient orthopedics. He is excited to be part of the JOI team.
Luke Bratton ATC
Luke Bratton is a graduate from the University of North Florida with a major in Athletic Training. Further, his clinical experience includes Division-I athletics with the UNF softball and soccer team. He was also part of the Sports Medicine staff for Jacksonville University Football. Further, he is currently the Athletic Trainer for Fernandina Beach High School Athletics, providing sports medicine coverage for practices and games.
Luke focuses his treatment based on a combination of manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to build strength, stability and improve ROM. He enjoys playing beach volleyball, kayaking, swimming, and playing guitar. Luke is now the ATC for Bishop Kenny High School.
Samantha Seifert, MS, ATC, LAT, CES

Samantha Seifert graduated from Emory & Henry College in 2016 with her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. In the Fall of 2017, she continued her education by working on her Master’s degree in Advanced Athletic Training at the University of South Florida and obtained it in 2019. Furthermore, Samantha worked for two years as an intern at Warner University. Also, she was primarily responsible for men’s soccer and baseball. Samantha joined JOI in July of 2018 and is serving as the DME Coordinator.

Jessica Bruno is originally from New Jersey and moved to Florida for graduate school. She decided to go back to school after being exposed to occupational therapy. Further, she fell in love with her career.
During her internships, she gained experience in many settings including inpatient rehab, schools, pediatrics, and outpatient orthopedics. Further, she thoroughly enjoyed working in the outpatient setting. She decided to pursue her career in this setting.
Bridget Carey, PTA

Bridget Carey has been a practicing physical therapist assistant here at JOI since November 2017. She was born and raised here in Jacksonville where she attended Duncan U. Fletcher High School. She then went onto West Virginia University. Further, she walked onto the Varsity Volleyball team and competed in the Big East as a Libero/ Defensive Specialist.
Bridget Carey then went on to transfer to the University of Central Florida where she completed her Bachelors in Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She found her love for the field of Physical Therapy during her last semester at UCF while working with patients in the Aphasia House where she was given the opportunity to be apart of the rehabilitation of patients that were affected by TBI, stroke, and other neurological deficits. Further, she then attended the PTA program at FSCJ and graduated in August of 2017. In her free time she enjoys playing beach volleyball, riding her beach cruiser, and playing with her two dachshunds.
Chang Chau, OT

Chang Chau is a Jacksonville native who graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of St. Augustine in 2015 with a Master of Occupational Therapy degree. During his clinical internships, he treated both traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury patients at Brooks Rehabilitation Hospital. Further, he placed special emphasis on upper extremity orthopedics at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center.
Further, Chang Chau graduated from the University of North Florida with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist. He is currently working towards obtaining his Certification in Hand Therapy. Go Jags!
Lily Condy, MOTR/L, CHT, CLT

Prior to graduating from Occupational Therapy school, Lily Condy worked as an Exceptional Student Educator in St. Johns County, FL. She has worked in a variety of settings, including subacute care, skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedics, and home health. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist. After starting at JOI Rehab, Lily became a certified hand therapist and is now the Lead OT at San Marco.
Michelle Duclos, MA, ATC, LAT, CES

Michelle Duclos gained valuable experience at UF by working with the volleyball and football teams. Further, she later interned at the University of South Florida. She also worked with the football team, which was invited to the Meineke Car Care Bowl, the first bowl game in USF history.
While at USF, she worked mainly with the Women’s volleyball team, and helped to cover the NCAA Women’s Final Four in 2008. She also helped cover the NCAA Men’s First and Second Rounds hosted in Tampa. Further, Michelle Duclos helped host the Big East Tennis and Baseball Tournaments in 2008. She came to JOI in 2008. She is presently the athletic trainer for events and practices at Florida State College at Jacksonville. Michelle also serves as the Sports Medicine Director.
Keri Gilbert, PT, DPT

Kerri Gilbert is a Jacksonville native who graduated from Bishop Kenny High School in 2010. She attended the University of Florida for physical therapy school graduating with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in April 2017. Kerri began working for JOI Rehab San Marco in August 2017. She then decided to pursue a travel physical therapy opportunity in January 2019. During this time she worked in several outpatient orthopedic clinics throughout Arizona and California. Kerri returned to Jacksonville and the JOI Rehab San Marco clinic in July 2020 eager to share her experience with co-workers and patients.
Kenneth Goodin, DPT, CSCS

Kenneth Goodin has been a Licensed DPT since 2017, prior to joining JOI he worked in Skilled Nursing, Acute Care, and Outpatient settings. Further, he is training to specialize in running biomechanics to provide care for the local running community. He completed his certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2018 through the NSCA. Kenneth Goodin is a Jacksonville native, he graduated from Duncan Fletcher in 2001 before joining the military.

Thomas has been a certified athletic trainer since September of 2010. Further, he has experience working with a multitude of sports with a vast range of age groups. Originally a Massachusetts native he has traveled to London to work with cheerleaders and dancers. He has worked with professional athletes doing a summer internship with the St. Louis Rams. Further, he worked with the Bridgeport Bluefish (Independent Professional Baseball team), and worked the Boston Marathon for years.
He comes to us after working with three Division I universities (Brown, University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, and most recently Florida A&M University). Further, Thomas joined JOI in August of 2018 and serves as the Head Athletic Trainer at The Bolles School.
Andrew “Drew” Heideman, MPT, ATC, PES

Drew Heideman has been with JOI Rehabilitation staff more than six years. Further, he joined the rehabilitation team in 2004. In 2009 became Site Coordinator of JOI’s largest rehabilitation facility, San Marco. He completed athletic training internships with the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and the USAT National Triathlon Training Center.
Further, he has also served as Athletic Trainer for the Jacksonville Barracudas hockey team. Drew enjoys working with elite and amateur athletes who have a special interest in endurance sports, including running, cycling and multisport.
He serves as a clinical liaison between JOI Rehab sites and JOI physicians to sustain consistent and exceptional patient care and to ensure that current staff is given educational opportunities to develop and enhance clinical skills.
Sarah Katsaras, MPT, OCS
Sarah Katsaras graduated from FSU with Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 1994. Earned Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from University of St. Augustine in 1999. Has been with JOI for 11 years, opened the JOI Spine Center in 2011 and has been coordinating the Spine Club meetings for 6 years. She also earned her OCS certification in 2011.
Tristyn Kinser, MS, ATC, LAT
Tristyn Kinser joined the JOI staff in August 2019. She serves as the outreach Athletic Trainer at Paxon School for Advance studies as well as Assistant Athletic Trainer to the ROAR of the Jaguars. Kinser comes to JOI from High Point University in North Carolina where she worked as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for men’s & women’s cross country and track & field programs from August 2018 to May 2019. The Jacksonville native graduated from The University of North Florida in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training. She continued her educational career at Jacksonville University, earning a Master’s in Kinesiological Sciences in April 2018. During this time she served as the Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Dolphins’ football program for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
Josh Martin, ATC

Josh Martin joined the JOI team in September of 2019. Josh is currently the head ATC for the Jacksonville Sharks. Prior to joining the JOI team, Josh worked in various athletic training settings which include: an NFL internship with the Cleveland Browns, Division II Athletics, and High School Sports. Josh graduated from CALU in 2019 with his Degree in Athletic Training.
While in college, Josh played Rugby for the CALU Vulcans and was also the Head Fitness Instructor for Herron Hall. Josh is passionate about improving athlete’s health and performance on and off the field.

Andrew Orpiano earned an Athletic Training degree from the University of North Florida in 2012. While at UNF, Andrew worked with Bishop Kenny High School, Episcopal School of Jacksonville, Bartram Trail High School, and UNF Track & Field. Further, after graduating from UNF, Andrew worked as an Athletic Trainer with the Providence School of Jacksonville football team. In November 2012, Andrew joined JOI and is currently the Head Athletic Trainer for The Episcopal School of Jacksonville.

Debbie Rockett has worked in several fields of Physiotherapy, and has specialized in orthopaedic outpatient therapy services. Further, he received her post-graduate certification in Mobilization of the Spine and Extremities in 1992. Recently, Debbie became an Orthopedic Certified Specialist. Further, Debbie has been with JOI since 1995.
Cesar Roman, MS, ATC, LAT
Cesar Roman joined JOI after spending 16 years working in professional baseball. He worked for the Miami Marlins as a minor league athletic trainer in different levels. Cesar worked with the Jacksonville Suns/Jumbo Shrimp. Further, he began his athletic training career late in 2000 working as an assistant athletic trainer at St Francis College of New York.
Cesar was named Head Athletic Trainer for the 2006 Team Panama, and 2009 & 2013 Team Puerto Rico during the World Baseball Classic. Roman attended the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and Long Island University in Brooklyn New York. Further, he earned his BA and MS in Athletic Training and Sports Sciences respectively. He is a native of Puerto Rico and currently resides in Jacksonville.
Pamela J Wilson OTR/L, CHT

Pamela Wilson came to JOI following many years of practice In the Boston and Dallas areas. She has extensive experience in traumatic, work and sports-related injuries of the upper extremity. A Certified Hand Therapist since 1991 she has been with JOI since 2008.
Melissa Levy, DACM, AP
Melissa Levy is an Acupuncture Physician and is NCCAOM Nationally Board Certified in Oriental Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from Pacific College of Health and Science, where she received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She graduated summa cum laude from Florida College of Integrative Medicine with her Masters of Oriental Medicine and Bachelors in Professional Health Science.
Before her acupuncture studies, Melissa studied Exercise Science at The University of Tampa. She has further training in Injection Therapy, Sports Acupuncture, and Musculoskeletal Dysfunction. Her love and passion for living a healthy holistic life started at a young age as an athlete. She proceeded to expand her love of fitness by becoming a Certified Personal Trainer (National Academy of Sports Medicine). Melissa is also a Certified Group Fitness Instructor (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America), Certified Boxing Instructor, Hatha Yoga Instructor, and Certified SPINNING Instructor. She has trained a wide variety of clientele and has taught numerous group fitness classes. Dr. Levy appreciates the health benefits that acupuncture has to offer. She intends to educate all her patients on acupuncture and health prevention.
Renee Haire, LMT
Renee Haire has always had a passion for massage, so it seemed only natural that she makes it into a career. Graduating from Southeastern School for Neuromuscular and Massage Therapy in 2004, she received her certification in Neuromuscular Therapy. Further, she has since also received training in Sports Massage, Cupping Therapy, and Medical Massage.
Renee has worked for various companies including the very first Massage Envy in Jacksonville, FL. Further, she was able to work on hundreds of clients. Gaining the much-needed practice and confidence, all therapists require before finding herself at JOI.
Alaina Rizzotti-Pannoni, LMT
Alaina Rizzotti-Pannoni, LMT is a New York State and Florida licensed massage therapist. She is a graduate of the Onondaga School of Therapeutic Massage in NYS. Alaina’s clients have included professional and semi pro athletes, personal injury victims, nurses, doctors, actors, and many other professionals. These clients have typically suffered from stress and pain-related work activities. She is passionate about helping people recover better and help prevent injuries through her unique skillset. Because of this Alaina has sought training in SportStretch, SportStretch Flow, Traditional Thai Massage, Massage Cupping and Graston.
As a result of her training, Alaina has attended many events as a volunteer massage therapist. These events include the 2019 and 2020 NFL Combine, the 2020 Reese’s Senior bowl and the 2019 Mid Atlantic CrossFit games. JOI is happy that Alaina Rizzotti-Pannoni, LMT is part of the Medical Massage team.
Dawn Wojdat, Internal Auditor
Dawn Wojdat has worked in the Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation setting for 12 years. She has been with Jacksonville Orthopedic Institute for the past 6 years. As the Internal Auditor Dawn assists with reporting, monitoring and helping with the overall functioning of all Rehab locations.
