A Testimonial for Dr. Kitay on Dupuytren’s Needle Aponeurotomy
Dr. Kitay performed a Dupuytren’s needle procedure on my left hand and greatly relieved the contracture of the tendon causing my left hand to curl up. Sometime in the next year or two, I will probably ask him to do the same procedure on my other hand. He did a good job. I am pleased with his work and that of the staff at JOI.

This condition causes a thickening of the fibrous tissue layer underneath the skin of the palm and fingers and leads to the inability to straighten the fingers. It is often cited as being of genetic origin (hereditary). The cause is not known. It is not caused by injury or heavy hand use.
