Stanton L. Longenecker, MD

Dr. Longenecker is a graduate of the Tulane University School of Engineering and Tulane University School of Medicine. His residency was completed at Tulane University. He also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Hughston Clinic (Columbus, GA). Dr. Longenecker is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is the orthopaedic consultant for the University of North Florida Athletics. Also, he is a design consultant for the new Zimmer Gender Flex knee replacement.

Dr. Longenecker is known for his ability to allow bone to naturally integrate with the total joints he uses. He feels this symbiosis with bone contributes to his incredible 1 in 6,000 joint infection rate, which is far below the 1 in 100 rate that is common in the field. He practices at Riverside.
