Nerve Conduction Study (NCS)
Please watch this video on Nerve Conduction Studies.
This noninvasive, outpatient exam is used to measure how quickly nerves conduct electrical signals through the body. NCS is a valuable technique for diagnosing nerve damage. If damage exists, NCS can help a physician find its source.
At JOI, Dr. David Doward, Dr. Aaron Martin and Dr. Robert Savarese perform nerve conduction studies. Dr. Doward is fellowship trained in Interventional Spine and Sports Medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. Dr. Savarese is board certified by the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Pain Medicine.
