Our team at Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute helps make sure our hometown Jacksonville Jaguars are healthy every week and are able to get back on the field as soon as possible. We are proud to say JOI has been the exclusive sports medicine provider for the Jaguars since 1995. It is our job at JOI to make sure that the players stay healthy during the season and off-season. The Jaguars organization trusts our team to take care of their athletes. This can range from major surgeries to physical therapy. Our doctors are there for every game in case an injury occurs on the field.

Dr. Kevin Kaplan: JOI is Where The Pros Go
The head team physician, Dr. Kevin Kaplan, has many professional accomplishments during his career. These achievements range from graduating from New York University School of Medicine.

- Trained in cutting-edge arthroscopy of the:

- Elbow.
- Knee.

Dr. Kaplan has also been the head team physician for the Arena League Jacksonville Sharks and currently is the team physician for Atlantic Coast High School. Dr. Steven Crenshaw: JOI is Where the Pros Go
Dr. Steven Crenshaw, a Jacksonville native, has been with the team since 2000. He truly believes JOI is where the Pros Go. Dr Steven Crenshaw is an assistant team Physician for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Before joining the team at JOI, he completed 10 years of service with the U.S. Army where he finished as the chief of Orthopeadic Surgery Service at Darnell Army Hospital (Fort Hood, TX).

Dr. Michael Yorio: JOI is Where the Pros Go
Dr. Michael Yorio is the team internal medicine physician. His main focus is directed towards the complete care of the athlete.
His areas of expertise include:
- Chronic and acute medical musculoskeletal conditions /injuries
- Plantar fasciitis,
- Concussions,
- Nutritional needs
- General medical disorders
Dr. Yorio has a vast history in working with many sports teams such as the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and Baltimore Ravens, the University of Maryland – College Park Terrapins, and the US Open Tennis Championships in 2008.
