The JOI Rehabilitation North clinic is located in the Main Street Place Plaza off of North Main Street, down the street from the River City Marketplace. To find the office, drive to the back of the plaza and the clinic will be in the middle.

Mariah True, PTAAssociates in Exercise Science (University of North Florida) Physical Therapy Assistant (Florida State College of Jacksonville, 2019) Mariah True was born in Maine and has moved to several different states throughout the East, West, and Gulf Coast. For the past eight years Fernandina Beach, FL has been her home. Mariah graduated from Florida State College of Jacksonville in 2019 and became a licensed PTA in 2020. Prior to becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant, Mariah attained her Associates in Exercise Science from the University of North Florida. Mariah recently joined the JOI team in 2021 and is splitting her time between the Nassau, Arlington, and North clinics. In her free time she enjoys traveling, working out, and spending time with her family and friends.
Latara Bartley, Front Desk Specialist
Medical Billing & Coding (Ultimate Medical Academy 2019)
Latara started at JOI in May 2021. She graduated from Ultimate Medical Academy with a degree in Medical Billing and Coding in 2019. In her free time she likes to spend time at home with family.
Niki Heeter PT, DPT, ATC Site Coordinator

Niki graduated from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2015 with her doctorate in physical therapy with an emphasis in manual therapy. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, Niki graduated from Texas Christian University, with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training, working with D1 collegiate and professional athletes. In her free time Niki enjoys working out, cooking, and playing with her dog Jaxon. Niki is currently the Site Coordinator for the JOI Rehab North Physical Therapy Clinic.
Emily Kolar, PT, DPT

Emily Kolar is from Venice, FL where she participated in a variety of sports growing up. These include soccer in high school which resulted in an injury that led not only to surgery, but also to discovering her dream of becoming a physical therapist. Emily graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2015. She graduated with a Major in Sport and Exercise Science for Human Performance, and Minor in Fitness Training. She then attended the University of Saint Augustine for Health Sciences where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2018. Emily has clinical experience in a variety of therapy settings including outpatient, inpatient, aquatics, and vestibular. She is passionate about patient care and applying evidence based practice. Emily currently works at the JOI Rehab North Clinic.
Jane Newhoff, Intake Coordinator
Jane Newhoff has been with JOI Rehab since 2012. She currently works at the JOI Rehab North Physical Therapy Center. She is an intake coordinator and receptionist at this office.
Kim Segler, OTR/L, CHT
Kim Segler has worked in a variety of settings including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehabilitation, orthopaedics, and home health care. She has also worked with the JOI hand surgeons since 1997, and joined JOI rehabilitation in 2004.

Shannon Young, PT, DPT

Doctorate of Physical Therapy (Sage Graduate School, 2010)
Shannon graduated from The Sage Colleges in 2010. She started working in acute care at Johns Hopkins Hospital working on the cardiac and organ transplant services. She then transitioned to travel physical therapy working in various states and settings including outpatient orthopedic, skilled nursing, and home health. Shannon started with JOI in 2020. In her free time she enjoys running, hiking, and traveling.
Shannon currently works at the JOI Rehab North Physical Therapy Center.
