Dr. Lucie is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and the Medical College of Georgia. His residency was completed at the University of Colorado (Denver, CO). Dr. Lucie is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is also one of the only orthopaedic surgeons in northeast Florida who has a Board-Certified Subspecialty Certificate in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.

Dr. Lucie is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the Arthroscopy Association of North America. He currently serves as the Head Team Physician for Jacksonville University and The Bolles School, and is an orthopaedic team physician for the University of North Florida. He is the former Head Team Physician for the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars, Chairman of the Florida Orthopaedic Society Sports Medicine Committee, and was the 2009 President of the Duval County Medical Society. Dr. Lucie is a founding member of the Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute.
